We may consider, Full time, part time, casual and under 18 applications. Applications close 17/02/25 unless extended.
Our opening hours are from 10am – 6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 10am – 8pm Thursday as well as 10am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday and your availabilities will need to be during these times depending on your days of work e.g. young casuals / part timers may only be weekends / Thursday evenings due to study commitments.
Contrary to belief we do not actually spend much time playing games and we mostly perform cleaning and testing so please keep this in mind.
Whilst our space at the shop is more limited currently, we intend to move to a new bigger location.
Repair experience will be looked at favourably.
We pay above minimum wage.
Please note that we expect to receive a very large amount applications and have already started receiving these before we have been ready to hire so we will do our best to get back to / update people as quickly as we possibly can.

About Collectors Quest
Starting out as a collector of video games and video game related items, this turned into a passion and obsession. As the years went by, this broadened further still to include toys, cards, figures and indeed anything collectable.
What was once a hobby turned into a full-time online business in November 2022, creating a website and establishing more of a presence online.
Once we were more established, we decided to take the leap of faith and establish our first physical store front in Greensborough – Melbourne.
Since then, we have continued to grow and are looking to become a real fixture in the Greensborough area. A place where collectors and enthusiasts of all types can not only buy items they are after but also become a place where we can foster a community.
About the opportunity
We are offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in Collectors Quest our Video Games and Collectables Shop as we look to grow. The role will potentially involve a variety of tasks or might be more specific day to day depending on candidates’ skills and business requirements. Tasks may include but will not necessarily be limited to:
· Our opening Hours are from 10am – 6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 10am – 8pm Thursday as well as 10am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday and depending on the role staffing of the shop during these times may be required.
· Providing a professional and responsive service to customers both in store and through other mediums.
· Provide information regarding value and suitability of items that the business buys and sells to the business owner, customers and other stake holders.
· Clean, test and repair items as is necessary
· Photograph, price and list items for sale online and in store
· Keep the shop in good order and regularly clean to ensure high standards of hygiene
· Pack and post items that have sold
· Assist with searching for stock, purchasing stock and leads for items for purchase
· Social media – Assist with posting media online to social media platforms to promote the business
· Online – help manage the website, Ebay and other platforms and ensure they are in good order and up to date
· Repair of consoles, games and other items
About you
We are looking ideally for long term staff to help us continue to grow as a business rather than short term work except in the case of maternity/ paternity backfill. A positive can do personality is paramount and a good team fit is essential. Furthermore, we are looking for a person who can demonstrate the following:
Qualifications/ Requirements
Essential:
· Strong knowledge of Video Games across all generations
· A good knowledge of other Collectables e.g. trading cards, toys, anime, figures and models
· Exceptional Customer Service abilities
· Strong Computer literacy and knowledge of eBay and website functionality
Desirable (over 18’s):
· Highschool completion or equivalent
· Relevant tertiary, TAFE or University Degree qualification in business, marketing, animation, video game development or another relevant field and / or relevant experience in a similar role
· Current Victorian Driver’s License.
Other requirements:
· Legal ability to work in Australia
· A satisfactory national police records check is required for this position and is repeated every three years. Similarly, a satisfactory international police check is required if relevant
Experience
Essential:
· 2+ years of Customer Service Experience (unless under 18 years old)
· Excellent organisational skills and ability to priorities
· High level engagement or customer service skills
· Excellent administrative skills
· Sound negotiation skills
Desirable (over 18’s):
· A minimum two years’ experience in a customer facing and/or telephone enquiries role from a diverse client and stakeholder base.
· Repair experience, working with consoles, games and other collectable items
